You know it's bad when I start measuring the rest of the school year by how many times I have to meet with the 6th graders as a class in the library til the end of school.

Yesterday after school a few of us met for some drinks and chit chat (actually, it's more like gossip, but that sounds so high school). I usually don't drink because when I do, I get really animated for a little while then I lose all my steam and want to lay down and sleep. I had two drinks and when I got home I was so tired I thought that going to bed already sounded great (it was only 5:30). After a bit I got my steam back but by 11:00 I was done. I did want to stay up and see Liza on Dave, so made it til then. She looked great-- all sparkly and still has that cute hair.

We're going to a burlesque show tonight-- yes, you read that right. Seems there's a gal here in Denver who wrote a book about the history of burlesque and she's got a group of performers that will be performing at a refurbished theater (used to be a movie theater) that's in north Denver not too far from where I live. In the book it seems that many of today's burlesque performers take on the "goth" look--which I'm not a big fan of. But we'll see. Then tomorrow night we're going to big piano concert at a church. Quite the pendulum swing, isn't it?
