Free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, we're free at last.

I'm actually not truly free until June 7, but now that most of those pesky teachers are gone (and I mean that in the nicest possible way) I can get some work done. Holy toledo (when you use it that way, is it still considered a city name and need capitalization?) I was ready to bean one of them today. It felt like she was on the verge of being a passive aggressive tattle-tale on her teammate. I didn't feel like playing, so I just listened and kept saying, "Do whatever you think is right--it doesn't really matter to me". But what I was really thinking was "Please go away".

Went to see Joseph and the Really Colorful Silly Looking Coat tonight. I love the music-- so that made some parts that weren't really up to standard more tolerable. Joseph was a little "pitchy" on his songs--which is American Idol slang for off-key. The man is definitely cut, though--man, what a washboard stomach he had. But visit a tanning booth every week or so, buddy. You're blinding us. Since the show started a half an hour early and it's a short show anyway, we were out by 9:30--unheard of! The Very Expensive Coffee Place is still open at that hour (and besides, it was a Fri night), so in we went. Walked the 16th St Mall a bit after, but it seems to be overrun by young folks with nowhere to go on Fri nights. Way crowded-- and you couldn't walk more than a few feet without cigarette smoke wafting by. I already had a headache, and cigarette smoke gives both of us headaches, and it really wasn't that pleasant walking down there, so we headed back to the parking garage.

Tomorrow night we're going to a concert by a group called Canto Spiritus (billed as "Not Your Mother's Chamber Choir"). I'm really looking forward to it--I love this kind of music.

And now--off to bed.
