Oblah dee oblah dah... life goes on....

Just got back from having lunch with the bff, or at least the bffrn (best friend for right now, which is what it feels like sometimes). Dropped him off back at work (how many of you have to show your driver's license when you drop a friend off, hmmm?) then went to a little scrapbooking store nearby to look around. I've been to this place before, and it's not a favorite, but I like looking around anyway. It's really small, and I wouldn't use most of the stuff they have there, and the back work area is really messy--today there were two half full bottles of white wine on the counter in the work area and the whole counter was piled high with papers, etc.... I don't think this store is a big income generator for the owner, who is always the one at the register. I'm thinking it's a just something she does for fun. I hope so, because there's never anyone in there when I go, which is hardly ever because it's clear down by where B works.

So does anyone out there enjoy maintaining the upkeep on their car? I need all new tires in the next month or two, and I also need to take it in for a six month maintenance appointment. I don't mind spending the money because it definitely extends the life of the car, I just don't like taking the time to do it.

I won some blog candy this weekend! I've been frequenting a few card-making/rubber stamping blogs and one of them was giving away some things. Basically you leave a comment, they pick a name. There are usually a bazillion comments, but this time I got picked! I won a month of stamping tutorials designed by this blogger. I love her cards, so I'm looking forward to seeing the tutorials.

How fun to win something! I love to win things. =)

The whole summer so far has been devoted to maintaining cars. TC crashed mine so that had to be dealt with and his is 8 years old with 140,000 miles on it so that has needed TONS of work lately. And guess who gets to do it all? Me of course, since I don't have anything better to do being summer and all! pft...

I always have to warn anyone picking me up or dropping me off at work that they need their drivers license or they can't get anywhere near my office.
