"Did you forget you have a blog?" Honestly, some people are so demanding.

Seems like Christmas was weeks ago.

Christmas Eve we went to my niece's house-- and what I will remember always is there was TOO much food. I also thought there were too many presents, but I can live with that one! She wasn't going to put up a tree this year (and didn't do Christmas cards or photos for them--boo hoo) but the tree was up and it looked great. I love Amanda's kitchen area--lots of room for a fairly large table so we can all hang out in there and not feel too crowded. She can never move, unless she plans for an even bigger kitchen.

Christmas Day was breakfast at mom's-- which was kind of a surprise for me, as I didn't know we were doing that until the night before. I would've been perfectly fine sleeping in and doing nothing all day, but it was Christmas so I guess that should mean something. That night we were headed to my dad's, but had a few hours in-between so B and I came back to my place and both conked out for about two hours. I'm glad I got the couch.

Christmas night was at dad's-- with some extra family members in the mix which was different and a little unsettling for reasons that shall remain personal. It was also different not to have my step mom's mom there as she has been forever--she passed away in August and I'm sure she was missed a lot. I also missed having little Murphy dog around--he's been gone about a month and his absence was very noticeable.

This year I made little photo albums for all my family--they each got their own. It was filled with pictures from all the family things we've done this past year--birthday lunches, Easter, etc... I know they liked them, but today my nephew said something that meant a lot (coming from him). He isn't much of a conversationalist, but today he said to me, "That would be kind of neat if you made those photo albums for us every year for Christmas".

Sat night I read an entire book in one sitting--after spending five hours doing digital scrapbook pages and two hours working will call at the ACenter. I guess I should have done a few jumping jacks in there at some point--seems like a lot of sitting. I loved this book--mostly I loved the writing and the style.

Tonight we watched Hancock-- pretty good, and a little different. We were both expecting it to be a comedy but it wasn't. Interesting story--and amazing special effects.

So there you go.

I would love getting a photo album like that every year, tho I know it's a lot of work.

I don't know if you'd like the book--honestly I'm not very good at predicting that with people anymore. if it's not a kid's picture book, I don't have a clue.

I really enjoyed that book. Don't let it lull you into thinking that you should read The Mermaid's Chair, though.

I loved this book too. I want to see the movie, and I really enjoyed The Mermaid Chair. Not very realistic, but enjoyable anyway.
