If a person is looking for a witch doctor in the yellow pages, would that be under "general physicians" do you think? Seriously, this constant headache is a PAIN.

Met LMc at the Very Expensive Coffee Place over by school for some chit chat, then met CP for lunch for her yesterday birthday. Ushered at the ACenter tonight, and then twice tomorrow (children's theater). After that-- the couch is mine, all mine...mwuhahahahaha.

The show at the AC right night is Late Night Catechism 2-- a little different than the norm. Lots of audience participation and back and forth between the "class" (the audience) and the Sister. During the second act I was sitting on house right and noticed an elderly man clear over on the other side struggling to make it up four or five steps to leave and presumably use the restroom. He was holding onto the handrail for dear life and really having a tough time. The usher at the top of the stairs just watched him, not really even realizing that maybe he could use some help-- and then got up to hold the door open for him.

After he exited I got up and went over to stand by the door he went out of. When he came back in he was holding onto the wall, looking at his watch and seemed to be trying to decide whether or not it would be worth it to try to get back to his seat. When he did finally make a move to the stairs I approached him and asked if he'd like my arm to hold onto as he went down. The poor guy looked so relieved. There were three or four other elderly people I held a hand for as they got their seats earlier-- and I seem to be one of the few ushers that ever think to offer an arm or a hand to clasp as they descend the stairs.

Seems like so few people notice their surroundings these days-- wake up people!

I didn't feel so great when I left the theater tonight-- it almost felt like I did when I was having gall bladder attacks a couple of years ago. But no more gall bladder, so I'm thinking no. I'm getting ready to have a big ol mug of chicken noodle soup--not that watery canned stuff, that yummy stuff in an envelope. Mmmmmmmm--with extra noodles.

And speaking of gall bladder-- when I was having my surgical consult before having mine removed, the surgeon told me the gall bladder problem was almost always hereditary and had anyone in my family had problems? No, they hadn't. But now I've had mine out, my dad recently had his out. You know what that means, doncha? Little sis, say buh bye to your gall bladder someday!!
