Just got back from an eye exam appointment-- just what I needed to add to a headache. Shine bright lights in my eyes over and over, make me look way left, right, up, down (gee, you're a clown--remember that, D?). Bleh. My eyes are dilated and everything is a bit blurry--so it's off to the couch for some more Wacky Weirdness on Wisteria Lane. I think this show is ridiculous but I can't stop watching them! Spencer had an opinion on nettyflickers turn around time, and I'll add my two pesos.

When I had my 2 week free trial, I was getting movies mailed out the same day they received my old one. the turnaround was lightning fast--I even got an email on President's Day (no mail service, remember) that they had received my dvd, and then another email right after that letting me know the next one was on its way. Now that the free trial is over and I'm actually paying, it's taking a day or two between. I consider that to be very bad form, people. I probably do 3 dvds a week-- on my own I watch the tv series stuff and with bfg the movies.

Last night we watched Trip to Bountiful--I'd seen it before but bfg hadn't. What a wonderful movie--and the bonus feature was very interesting. Info about taking the stage play and turning it into a movie--and a bit about Geraldine Page. Evidently, Lillian Gish has made a reputation of playing the main character in the play and the playwright didn't think anyone else should ever play the part. Bfg asked me if Lillian Gish was the person who played Lilah Qaurtermain on One Life to Live (um, no, you're a few decades off). So we looked up LG, then started talking about watching General Hospital and found a complete cast list (past and present ) for all characters/actors for GH. We both had watched it when we were younger (high school/college, etc) and he knew so much about the characters and who was with who--it was hilarious! Then we started talking about Dark Shadows, and looked that up, then looked on iTunes for the theme song to DS and found that.

How did I ever survive before the internet??????
