Once I get to the gym I don't mind it so much, but while I'm there I have some pretty strong feelings about the way things are run there. Too bad for me that nobody there really cares what I think.
1) Why are the tv screens all on channels that I hate? Now I can certainly understand at least one sports channel--but today there was also the Discovery Kids Channel. Last time I looked, there were no ten year olds working out.
2) Why isn't there some kind of reflective glare stuff on the windows? Over half of the cardio equipment faces the outside parking lot and the sun glare off car windshields is nearly blinding. When you're a person prone to headaches in the first place, it's really challenging.
3) When I go the gym, I really do NOT want to pass by tables of business people that are trying to get my business. Today it was a local bank in the area. "Hi! Do you want to know how you can save on bank fees?" "Um, no, I want to work out and go home."
4) Can someone please tell the group exercise coordinator that any day of the week with an "s" at the end does NOT, I repeat NOT also require an apostrophe before the "s"? There are signs all over the place advertising classes on Monday's, Tuesday's, Wednesday's, .... you get the idea. This is a basic writing skill, people. Have someone proofread your signs before you display them. (This apostrophe "s" thing is a big annoyance with me. Signs in the grocery store-- "Banana's--1.19/pound". I mean, really. )
Okay--enough ranting about the gym. Off to shower and then to Costco (on a Saturday-- pray for me) and then scrapbooking tonight most likely.
