It's so nice to be home with no plans for the evening, and not have to be at the theatre until 6:00 tomorrow night. This is a pic of bfg singing his song in the dress rehearsal on Wed night. Last night was opening night and the show went really well. The house was about 80% full, which is really good for opening night. We did forget to put on 5 foot long step out on the stage in front of a platform, and didn't realize it til the show started. We just had a couple of guys bring it in as part of their entrance--so it worked out fine. I just don't want to do that again. In the picture be sure you notice the green diamonds on the arch (which is a pain in the ass to take down during the set change at intermission). I painted those diamonds. Thank you very much.
Today at school the time dragged soooooo slowly. At 9:00 I told my aide I felt like it should be at least noon. My library is kind of a mess (cluttered, mostly)-- boxes and boxes of discarded math materials (the district is getting a new math curriculum), equipment being turned in, etc... We still have about 75 books out (kids) so next week I get to do the phone calls to parents if they aren't turned in on Tuesday. That's the part of the job I really dislike.
How nice it will be tomorrow morning to stay in bed and not get up and go to work. *Sigh*
