I'm off to my last day of work before summer break. I've been super busy at school the last two days--cleaning out files that look like they haven't been touched for eons, weeding through all the old filmstrips and things in the back room that aren't used anymore, dirty work like that. It's been fun, yessiree.

The concert Sat night was great--we almost didn't go because we got a little sidetracked, but I'm so glad we did. Sunday's G&S show was good-- this weekend are the final performances. I've enjoyed it (but not as much as in the past three years) but both bfg and I will be glad when it's done. Sunday after the show we all stay and strike the set, and take apart all the platforms and set pieces. We are both dreading it, but after that it will be done. Monday night we watched The Wedding Date--very cute movie. Last night we went to dinner to celebrate June 6 Day, and then went bumming around Target, then went for a long walk, and then watched a couple of episodes of 'Allo 'Allo. Tonight it's crash time. Later this week I'm heading way southeast to have lunch with a guy I taught with for many years. He's a principal in another district now and it's been a long time since I've seen him. I called him last week and we talked for a long time-- it was just like old times--we didn't miss a beat.

A high school friend is coming out from Virginia tomorrow for her nephew's graduation on Sat. We usually get together with "the girls" when she comes, but I don't know if that's going to happen for me this time. I'm pretty time-committed because of the show, and "the girls" haven't really been around much in the last year or so, and it doesn't sound like all that much fun this time, to tell they truth. I invited her to the show on Sunday afternoon-- but I doubt that will happen.

And it's off to work I go.
