I can't seem to get into the rhythm of earlier bedtimes. At some point I'm sure it will all come crashing in and then I'll start.

Open house was today-- kids and parents (and older siblings, extended family members, neighbors, long-lost cousins, former babysitters, their first Scout leader, the doctor who delivered them and the person who sold them their house, or so it seemed.....) come to school between 3 and 4:00 to meet the new teacher and drop off their school supplies. The parent association serves ice cream out front, and it's just a gob-o-fun (go look up "sarcastic" in the dictionary. Go on...I'll wait.). I usually spend my time wandering the hall helping new families find their classrooms and looking at the clock. It's not really all that bad, and it's only an hour so it goes by pretty quickly.

Tomorrow's the first day of school. I have a massage schedule for 5:30. Yep, I was thinking ahead.
