Sometimes during summer break I feel like I should be doing something constructive, traveling someplace fun or interesting, cleaning out closets, whatever. And when I don't do any of those things, I feel like I'm wasting the day. But today was one of the days I like during summer break. For one, it was Monday. That means those "Sunday Blues" we all get on Sunday nights(teachers, more than anyone I know) don't mean anything and are non-existent. And two, B called about 7:45 this morning telling me he wasn't going into work today and he'd call me later after he got up for real. I got a massage about noon (it was awwwwwwwwwesome) then headed down to parts south. We watched this movie which was pretty good, went out to eat twice, went bumming at Tar-zhay. I was home by 8:30, and have just chilled most of the evening. I like these days with no expectations and no big plans.

The massage was great--I've had some pretty bad pain in my left glute (too much info, people?) for awhile now and sometimes the referral pain goes all the way down my leg. When I made the appt I had asked for deep tissue massage and this gal did a good job. A good one will use very strong pressure (unbelievable pressure) with their elbow, and will have you deep breathe through the pain (and yes, there was pain). The most amazing part-- when she just started and picked the EXACT spot to dig in her elbow. Right on target, as indicated by my yelp of acknowledgement. I can say tonight my glute is pain free, except for feeling like it was hit by a tennis ball at 50 mph.

I {heart} Erin.

thanks for visiting my blog. I love your cat picture. I do occasionally post my sermons. I don't preach every week, though.

Also, I take Monday off so I don't get the "monday blues" any more either. But saturday nights...

TC used to get deep tissue massages on his legs when he was training for marathons. He says they hurt like hell! I just can't imagine paying someone to make me hurt.
