These weekends just go by way too fast. This weekend wasn't even as busy as they have been in the last...oh... two months. Seriously, my weekends have been ridiculously filled with things. Fun things, but still...things.

We are currently in rehearsal for our G&S Christmas Carol-- and with only three weeks left til the show, things are not exactly looking all that polished. B has a big solo this year--a patter song. This afternoon I finally heard him sing it, and he's doing pretty good. It moves at a really fast clip and there are so many words--but he sounds great. The tune is The Modern Major General's song from Pirates of Penzance. This has different words since he's playing the ghost of Jacob Marley and not the major general, but the tune and the fast clip are the same.

Book fair all week coming up-- so it might not be too stressful this week. We pack it up Fri then only have 2 days of school right before Thanksgiving the next week. The coming week looks to be a little colder--so some fall weather may be on its way. Great. I have two, maybe three days of outside duty this week. Good thing I have a new coat.

I think I might be able to see a little pinprick of light at the end of the November tunnel. Unlike my poor teachers-- the light they see is the headlight of an oncoming train. A train that's carrying toxic chemicals. And might overturn. In a city. Next to a home for crippled children. That are orphans. With stray dogs that are lost.

Sorry--I just couldn't stop.

Are they blind?

Well yes, as a matter of fact they are. And deaf and mute, as well.
