Holy cow, it's been way too busy and frustrating at work lately. Tomorrow afternoon are the V-Day parties, so I'll have some time to get some of my non-be-in-front-of-a-class work done, which is piling up unbelievably. Yesterday I left just 20 minutes after dismissal, and today I only stayed about an hour after school. I've coming home and popping in a movie-- I'm kind of liking doing that instead of getting right on the computer or anything else. It does mean I'm not getting as much done at school as I should, but sometimes I just need to get out of there as soon as possible at the end of the day.
Supposedly we are getting a load of snow tonight and tomorrow. I've heard three inches, somebody else said nine inches. It's been my experience that when someone says nine inches, it's rarely a reality. If you know what I mean. At any rate, I'm wishing for enough to call a snow day. Which isn't going to happen, but I can certainly hope for it.
Tonight I went with B to a church choir rehearsal. His voice teacher asked him if he'd consider joining the church choir for a Palm Sunday special program, and anyone else was welcome as well. He's trying to get a more full sound for the special program. We're doing about half of The Messiah--which I've never sung before. I haven't sung for a long time (pirate songs and silly songs in the library don't count) and was a little anxious, but I'm a pretty good sight reader, so I did better than I was expecting. I really love singing this kind of choral music-- so I think I'll enjoy this quite a bit.
Come on snow. Come on!
