Twice in the last few weeks my friend B has made the comment that it feels like summer is over. I know he means more than just the temperature, but that's the most obvious indicator. And in the last couple of days I think I'm starting to agree.

Even though the days are warm and sunny, it's not that middle of summer kind of hot. The evenings are cool and a little breezy. Last night my feet were actually cold when I went to bed, so I put socks on, as well as jammie pants. About 3 a.m. I pulled both off because I was warm, but I can see where it's starting to be a little cooler at bed time. I still have my window fan on when I go to sleep, but I'm closing it more and more each night, it seems. Last night it was only open about about 8 inches.

Earlier this week I did a big load of laundry which included about 3/4 of the polo shirts I tend to wear all the time. Today I had nothing to wear, and I realized they were all still sitting in the washer. They didn't pass the "Do they smell like mildew ?" test, so here I am waiting for them to get done in the dryer after another washing. The really bad thing-- I do that more than a person really should.

Maybe I should just buy more shirts.

I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who rewashes clothes more than a person should.
