I am trying to watch all of the films on the AFI 100 Best Movies list over the next few.....years? Actually,when I saw the titles, I realized I'd seen a lot of them already, so maybe it won't be years. The ones in yellow are ones I haven't seen, or have seen but don't remember them well enough to say I've seen them.

I can't believe how many I haven't seen. I love Midnight Cowboy tho, surprised you haven't seen that.

I'm pretty sure I have seen MC, but I don't remember it so am not counting it.

One thing though--why is it "dwarfs" and not "dwarves". One has to wonder.

More than one has wondered why dwarfs vs dwarves. The former is generally considered 'correct' in general terminology. The latter is generally (but wrongly) attributed to Tolkien, and is the norm in all fantasy works since then.

I like that list! Interested in the other 50. A lot of the ones I haven't seen are the same as yours- possibly for the same reasons. I'm not sure I could commit to seeing them all for the sake of seeing them all. You know I'm kind of a sissy about stuff like bombs, mayhem, mafia, ethnic intimidation. Pretty much anything but romantic comedy.

i remember my boyfriend (at the time) charlie really liked dr strangelove. he made me watch it and i wasn't into it, but i think now i would be.

now after reading through i have realized i have only ever really seen TWO of these movies! whoa. a clockwork orange --all time favorite, and taxi driver-- meh.
