Yesterday I went to an open house/brunch/get-together at the home of someone at the school I taught at for 23 years. I loved that this get-together wasn't at night, wasn't on a weekend, it was on a Monday morning when everyone was off for break. There was a great turnout, and a few people were there that I used to teach with, and have since retired or moved on to something else. these are some of my favorite people--mostly because I still feel part of their lives. It was great fun, the food was great, and I'm really glad I went.
