I'm off to the Chicago area for a few days for a Creative Memories consultant convention. I'm up earlier than I ever get up these days---but I really don't like that panicky feeling of rushing to the airport. I don't even like getting there right when I think I should--it's still a little anxiety producing. This is probably due to an occasion long ago when I had a friend drive me to the airport, and she was very late in picking me up. The whole way there she's chatting away and I'm completely stressed about how slow she's driving. I checked my bags, ran to my gate, and they were just closing the doors to the ramp that leads to the plane. Now that's cutting it way too close. You know everyone on the place that's already seated are glaring at you as you walk down the aisle, trying to find an overhead bin with some small space left for you carry on bag. The having to climb over the two people already in their seats--not fun. So today I am leaving myself plenty of time to do what I need to do. Even if it means getting up at o'dark thirty.

My friend Liz is coming with me as a guest--I hope she doesn't get too bored. We have tickets to see Jersey Boys on Sunday-so that should be fun. I've seen it twice, she never has. She's definitely in for a treat.

See ya on the flip side.

You better not be talking about me taking you to the aiport. Or I will have to remind you of the time we had to drive all the way back to get your license out of the gym bag. Have a great time!!

No I was not talking about you driving me to the airport. This was someone else. if it had been you I would have made sure to use your name. Because I'm a good friend like that.

You are a good friend so I really knew it wasn't me because you would never talk about me that way.
