I just watched a great movie--but it has subtitles, so it may not be for everybody. Check it out over there----->.

I'm also reading a really good book: History of the Donner Party: A Tragedy of the Sierra. It was originally written in the late 1800's, and it's really pretty good. I was afraid it would be too graphic, and it is, but not in the way I expected. The cannibalism is such a minute part of the story, in fact, it's barely mentioned, but the author's descriptions of the cold, the snow, the fatigue, the starvation... so realistic and so tragic. The author interviewed the survivors, and then he actually excavated the two cabin-sites thirty years after the event, which resulted in the discovery of many of the artifacts from the people that stayed behind to try to survive the winter while others tried to make it to Sutter's Fort for help.

This weekend I watched Sons of Provo again. B gave it to me for Christmas because he knows I love this movie. It is flipping hilarious. It's a lot funnier if you know anything about Mormons and their daily lives. Fortunately I watched it the first time with B and he explained a lot of the inside jokes. I need to loan this to RR-- she'd love this movie. Read the info in the link-- very funny. I also own the cd--in the movie they don't play the entire song during their performances-- but the songs are filled with references to Mormon things that probably aren't funny in real life, but they are when they're in these songs. (need to double click when you get there)

Now how would I look over there in the list of movies and know which one you are talking about? Maybe I am missing one of the needed clues. Or maybe I just figured it out and it is the first one on the list. Duh!!

You give "duh" a whole new meaning. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. Get off the computer--don't you have to go to work tomorrow morning?
