I feel like I worked all day.

I did work all day, but not the regular "job" type of work that made me tired. I spent the day scrapbooking with someone at their house--we've spent four Wednesdays together scrapbooking, and have two more to come, before she heads back to school responsibilities. I have gotten SO much caught up during these Wednesday get-togethers--and while I still have quite a few projects to organize and complete and won't be finishing anytime soon, lately I've been wondering what it will be like when I do catch up and consider myself finished. Right now I have completed around 35 scrapbooks--all with anywhere from 25-40 pages (double that for the number of actual sides). I have three more that are really close to being finished (just need some journaling). I can't imagine not having photos to scrapbook. I guess I'll just have to start taking more pictures.

Back to tired. I don't know exactly why I'm so tired, but I do know being awakened by a cat every.single.freaking.morning anywhere from 2:15 to 4:30 is taking its toll. The only night I've slept straight through is the night she got out and I didn't know it. Recently I have just stopped getting up-- I've been getting up to feed her in hopes it would shut her up, but eating usually just revs her up for more bouncy play. The last two nights I haven't not gotten up when she tried to get me up--and I can usually make it til around 7:30. I can handle 7:30. But the break in continuous sleep is still taking its toll. Can you give a cat Benadryl? (I'm KIDDING!)

You really need to do something about this. i looked it up and saw a few suggestions like not letting him sleep in the evening and locking him out of the bedroom in the morning. Not very practical I know.

First of all, this cat does not sleep during the evening hours at all. Ever.

And I won't be shutting the bedroom door in the morning. That would still entail me being awakened enough to get up and shut it, which defeats the purpose. And if I shut the door, she will meow and meow, or will start clawing at the door and that doesn't help either. I'm pretty sure she will grow out of it eventually. Bad habits are hard to break but not impossible.

I also think getting a companion cat would be a good thing. I'm pretty sure I'll do that eventually.

You can give dogs Benadryl, but I'm not sure about cats. Not that I'm advocating drugging animals just to get some sleep, but my parents dog has allergies and the vet said it was find to give it to him to stop his sneezing and watering eyes.

I've been tempted to give it to him this week, he's been waking me up constantly throughout the night, but have refrained.

Maybe you could keep her super busy and tire her out during the day?

And I'd like to suggest that you let go of the idea of "catching up" on your scrapbooks. When you have nothing left to document... haven't you stopped living?
